My 2024 Wreath Workshop season is over…
(until next year)
And yes, I am a bit late to post this month but as you can imagine the run-up to the festive period is incredibly busy with orders and the planning and preparation of Wreath Workshops, ANYWAY, here I am with a brief overview of how my 2024 Wreath Workshop season went!
As you may have seen, my wreath workshops ran at 3 different venues this year; FAUN, Elmslie House and GoodRoots, with the latter two being new venues for me!
I commissioned the lovely Helen Yandell to photograph one of the Elmslie House workshops as it was such a lovely couple of days there, hosting and teaching. Attendees there (and on my other workshops) created wonderful wreaths that were full, shaggy, layered and very natural. It was a treat to see guests getting lost in the creativity and producing something they were proud of.
Elmslie House worked so well for me as a new venue; light, airy, with plenty of room for busy creative hands. I’m already thinking ahead to 2025 Wreath workshops (don’t judge) as the space worked so well.
Enjoy Helen’s images, they really give a sense of the event and show what a lovely light filled space it is to create in and as per all my Wreath Workshops, guests are shown how to weave their own willow bases, so no premade bases or floral foam! I then guided them how to decorate the bases with seasonal British foliages and dried materials. Not one wreath looked the same at the end – so well done all! I felt very happy to have met such lovely attendees over the 6 Wreath Workshops that I ran this year.
So, I suppose this will probably be my last blog post of 2024, so I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year- see you then!
