I wanted to reflect on some very special moments and all the Worcestershire Wedding Flowers I have had the pleasure to work on.
I have to say that as a Worcester based florist I have had the honour of working on quite a few Summer Weddings in Worcestershire, so I have had to create this post in two parts…. Purely so I can give you the full low down on flowery life at Bride and Bloom this year.
Summer Weddings conjure up many a visual treat… my Summer season officially starts in June but upon writing this blog, I couldn’t resist including F&C’s beautiful local wedding at Bennett’s Willow Barn which took place at the end of May. I think it so helpful for future couples to see what’s possible for their own Wedding Flowers here in Worcestershire so that they can gauge what might be in season and when at their chosen Wedding Venue.
Please do reach out if you love anything you see or want to ask any questions- I’d be happy to help!
BENNETT’S WILLOW FARM- late May
F&C commissioned me for their Wedding Flowers using my CURATED SERVICE. They loved my style and just allowed me the freedom to create under a bright pastel palette.
Ok, so end May is not strictly high Summer but this palette was lovely and I just had to share. Flowers included Geums, Ranunculus, Acquilega, Cornflowers ad the first of the garden Roses.
B&Y- mid June
If you love the idea of pale pinks and creams this is for you! I really think these tones work so beautifully in B&Y – the warm tones of the lime wash and wood compliment the pink tones wonderfully!
he brief for A&S was soft, romantic florals – we used Garden Roses, Peonies, Verbascum, Foxgloves, Astrantia and the last of the Ranunculus to create a feminine aesthetic for their Mid Summer Wedding Flowers.
CRUMPLEBURY
late June
Outdoor Woodland Wedding’s don’t get better than this !
Oh I have so many lovely memories of H&N’s Bright Flower Meadow brief. We mixed the last of the Peonies with meadow faves such as cornflowers, grasses, Nigella, Nepeta, Sweet Peas, Foxgloves and more! Take me back!
BROADFIELD COURT- early July
Rosie & James were a joy to work with and were so laid back- opting to DIY their table flowers using my DIY service. They opted for a colour palette of whites, pale yellows and pale blues with seasonal foliage’s to create a rustic and meadow aesthetic.
Flowers included Ammi, Cosmos, Calendula, Ox-eye Daisies, Tweedia, Alliums, Eryngium and Cornflowers.
The Haybarn- early August
How about an Autumn palette but in Summer!? Jess & James were super clear on their request for burnt oranges and use of dried- the look totally came together for them and it was so much fun to work on even if it did feel like October in August!
Flowers included Dahlias, Snapdragons, Alstromeria, Geums, Sweet Peas, Rudbeckia and a mix of Beech and dried elements to bring some more light warmth to the palette.
NORTON GROUNDS
late August
Oh my… Katie & Tom… you had me at Hello!
These guys brought all the fun during all our planning – I think it shows! We kept to a soft Pastel palette, reusing the Urns and meadows to decorate the lovely venue that is Norton Grounds.
Flowers included Garden Roses, Tweedia, Dahlias, Zinnias, Scabious, Phlox, Asters, Statice, Snapdragons, Malope which all sat against a back drop of sage green foliage’s such as Pear & Eucalyptus
